Pictured above: my Mother, Barbara Sullivan, my Grandfather, Henry Knowlton, my Aunt, Ann Glime, and my Uncle, Henry Knowlton. This was taken sometime after World War Two ended. You can follow the “MORE” links for the rest of this post. There are 4 more pages, including my Uncle Henry’s introduction, and a movie. There are a number of posts besides this one. My Grandfather’s letters are in the menus at the top, marked with dates in 1944 and 1945. They run from October 1944 till October 1945.
Here they are, the same people, in the early 2000s. The one in the middle is my uncle Henry. His sister Ann is on the left. My mother Barbara is on the right.
The following is a picture of grandma Kaye and grandpa Henry. Looks like it might’ve been a wedding picture.
This vase was found by my Grandpa Knowlton, on Okinawa after the battle in 1945, sent home to my grandmother Katherine Knowlton, and now belongs to her great-grand-daughter, Elizabeth Sullivan (my niece).
